(Kitco News) – Gold prices are moderately up and have hit a new session high and nearly eight-month high in late-morning trading Thursday. A dovish U.S. Federal Reserve tenor and a shaky U.S. dollar index this week are giving the precious metals market bulls renewed strength. Gold and silver prices are also headed for technically bullish monthly high closes on this last day of January. February gold was last trading around $1,323.50.
